Need to buy a Macintosh for Photography school - New or Used?
I need to buy a Mac for Photography school...I will be using for school only, And I have to purchase Adobe Photoshop (PH Standard), and Word processing. I do not mind buying used, but like that a new one would probably come w/ some warranty. I just don't want to get one that is too slow b/c I will be online a lot. And I do not know MG and GB ling etc. Any help would be great!
If you buy a used Mac, then there are very high chance that you adobe Photoshop turns out to be more expensive than your Mac.
Since you are in a very expensive hobby to begin with, I would prefer you to get a new one and since, the New Mac Book Pros are really fast, it is better to consider a laptop instead of a desktop.
There are some disadvantage though, you will have to buy a mighty mouse, preferably wireless to help you work better.
It comes with warranty and excellent service, apple professionals can sit with you for hours to solve your issue or set back.
You don't want to spend anything extra on configuration as the base product will suffice your needs. the battery on the new macbook pro is the best in the world.
Also it will help you if you want to buy your photoshop through your school as it may be cheaper.
TIP: If buying online or over the phone, you can get students discount or Mac.
